LNS Workhorses

LNS Workhorses came about by a desire to breed horses with size, temperament, bone and tough feet. The type of horse that can go to work all week and compete on the weekend - whatever your chosen discipline. It doesn’t matter if you choose to campdraft, barrel race, rope, pick up man at your local rodeo or just enjoy a nice quiet ride, we aim to breed horses to suit.

Peptos Tru Lies was purchased as a yearling colt to infuse some Blue Valentine bloodlines into some Australian bred station mares, as we felt this would improve our horses. He was broken in as a two year old and is such a lovely horse to do anything with. His first few foals seem to have all of the traits that we had hoped for, and we are keen to see them getting out and about.

Broodmare Band

Playboys Mistress - An own daughter of the great Playboy Roy out of Delcindy who is by the amazingly versatile Dell Mingo

Coliban Too Good To B Blu - Lovely big bay mare by Tru Blu Texan out of Coliban Plenty Good, while not technically in the broodmare band, she is currently growing up a Metallic Jaguar filly! She will return to work after weaning her foal. She’s had extensive feedlot work, campdrafted, barrel raced and started to rope.

Rainy - she is a typical old style station bred mare, Thoroughbred cross paint, bred at Roseberth Station, out near Birdsville in Qld’s Channel Country. While she’s not registered she has bred us some big handy horses to different stallions. Standing at approx 16hh herself, she has held her own in the lignum channels of SW Qld and in the campdraft arena. Her foals have been used for competing in challenges, campdrafts, pick up horse at rodeos and are not scared to pull a calf up to a Bronco Panel.
